Finished Back View

Lara Berich draped the body padding and constructed the spandex sacks of styrofoam pellets. I was responsible for trueing up the placement of the sacks and doing all of the stitching and finishing work on the garment.

The pouches are attached to the structural layer with a fell stitch.

Lara Berich was the draper and primary stitcher on this doublet for Falstaff. I stitched some of the elements and did a lot of the finishing work.

Personal Project
Modeled by Annmarie Danico
This gown is made from a Historical Pattern by J.P. Ryan. The petticoat and gown are made from thrifted curtains. I also created a bum roll and used a Victorian corset I had previously made in lieu of 18th century stays.

The robot body had to be all one piece so it could be taken on and off repeatedly for actor-driven quick changes. It also had to allow for movement and choreography.
